They are essential part of any EOS camera set up.

CANON CAMERA LENSES - Telephoto Zoom

Telephoto zoom lenses provide a great range of focal lengths enabling you to get close to distant subjects and also to fast action sports. Telephoto zoom lenses offer a range of possibilities as well.

CANON CAMERA LENSES - EF -S

Canon engineers took advantage of the smaller sensor size and were able to produce much smaller and lighter lenses for use with these Canon digital cameras. The Canon EF-S lenses offer a range of focal lengths using the very latest in camera optical technology.

CANON CAMERA LENSES - Wide Angle – Fixed Focal length

They also feature an increased depth of field ensuring you get more of the subject is in focus. They are very compact in design, which makes them the obvious choice for the photographer on the move

CANON CAMERA LENSES - Standard & Medium Telephoto – Fixed Focal Length

These Canon camera lenses match how the human eye perceives a subject and are an excellent addition for portraits, to any photographers photo bag

CANON CAMERA LENSES - Telephoto – Fixed Focal Length

CANON CAMERA LENSES - Macro Lenses

To enable you to be able to bring small things into full-sized view, select from one of the Canon camera lenses in this category. These macro lenses can uncover detail that would be impossible for you to detect with just the human eye and will give you a completely new perspective to extremely minute subjects such as small insects or the petals of even the smallest flower.

CANON CAMERA LENSES - Tilt and Shift Lenses

These special lenses with their tilt and shift movements will further expand your photographic possibilities. The tilt movements will allow you to obtain a wide depth of field even whilst at the maximum aperture and yet still keep the entire subject of the picture in focus. Shift movements correct the trapezoidal effect seen in pictures taken of very tall objects such as buildings, so that the photo subject does not look distorted.

CANON CAMERA LENSES - Extenders

Extender is the name Canon uses for a teleconverter. These high-performance accessories multiply the effective focal length of an attached lens by 1.4x or 2x. For example, a 200mm lens with Extender 1.4x has an effective focal length of 280mm: with the Extender 2x, this increases to 400mm. Extenders are only compatible with selected EF lenses, including the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM, EF 70-200mm f/4L, EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM, EF 400mm f/4 DO IS USM and fixed length L-series lenses of 135mm or higher. Extenders can be used with various Canon camera lenses.

Canon Powershot cameras are ideal for amateur photographers, and also for the aspiring professional. Canon Powershot cameras are very versatile cameras that suit all types of needs and budgets. If you are looking to buy a new camera, checkout what Canon Powershot cameras have to offer.

Canon has been involved for many years in the world of photography. The name of Canon has gained recognition because they continue to release photography and video products that are easy to use, but still have the ability to take fantastic photos. Here are some of the digital cameras that Canon has available in its CanonPowershot cameras group

CANON POWERSHOT CAMERAS FOR THE TRAVELLER

If you are a traveller, who needs a camera that can withstand high altitudes, is not bothered by a drop of water, or maybe gets dropped occasionally, then the Powershot D10 could be the one in the Canon Powershot cameras group for you. It is water resistant and shockproof, it is also freeze proof. Of all the Canon Powershot cameras, this is the one we would recommend for regular travellers with an interest in photography ( especially if you are a bit clumsy)

CANON POWERSHOT CAMERAS – POINT AND SHOOT

The A-series of Canon Powershot cameras top notch point and shoot cameras. To take a high quality photo all you need to do is point, and click. The automatic settings will adjust everything including the light and subject for you, just get the person in the frame and point and click.

The A-series starts atten mega pixels, so you can be sure that you will get crystal clear pictures all the time. These Canon Powershot cameras also come with something called image stabilization, so you do not get blurry pictures, should your hand be a bit shaky. However, the most impressive feature of the A-series Canon Powershot cameras is the DIGIC 4 image processor. What this processor does is to automatically detect faces on screen, it then focuses in on them, so you get a perfectly balanced pictures every time.

CANON POWERSHOT CAMERAS – FOR THE PROFESSIONAL

Canon Powershot cameras are NOT just for amateur photographers. You can also find Canon Powershot cameras that are geared towards more professional photographers. In this category are the G and SX series of Canon Powershot cameras. They bring together the professional qualities of a Digital SLR camera and the compact features that Canon Powershot cameras are known for. These cameras have a larger zoom, a higher pixel count, and you will also have the ability to set manual settings to get the really professional pictures that you reallywant.

If you want to take top quality photos, you should definately have a look at the Canon Powershot cameras. If you are new to photography, or if you are looking to add something to your professional photography equipment, then these Canon Powershot cameras will fit the bill nicely. You can rest assured that the name of Canon stands for quality.

CANON POWERSHOT CAMERAS – FINAL THOUGHTS

Whether an amateur or professional, Canon Powershot Cameras have a lot to offer and by buying one you will not go far wrong. Here is my quick review of one of my favourite Powershot Cameras, The Canon G10 and G11.

The Canon Powershot G10 is a top quality compact digital camera from a quality company in the photographic industry. It is aimed at SLR users of who sometimes need something a bit smaller, but still need good quality photographs , or people who just want the best results from a compact camera without the extra weight.

Both cameras output RAW (CR2) format files, which is essential for professional/prosumer users. Most compacts do not output RAW format.

The Canon Powershot G11 is a new model, with fewer, bigger pixels (just 10MP instead of 15MP) and the rear screen is moveable. The reduction in pixels obviously reduces the picture resolution, when compared to the G10, but also the noise when used in low-light. Lets stick with the G10

These Canon Powershot cameras have a large LCD screen and various menu functions on th back. Controls are easy to use, especially the manual focus.
It is a well made sturdy camera and the lens fully retracts into the body It is larger than almost any other compact camera, but the lens still retracts entirely into the body. It also has a proper optical viewfinder.

The Canon G10 has 14.7 Mega pixels and good solid construction and all the control a professional could need (andoutputs RAW files – essential for post-processing the photos). It sufferes a little from noise problems. It does have a good wide-angle lens (28mm)

All in all Canon Powershot cameras are great value for money cameras giving the quality link between the amateur and professional photographer.

All the best from the CanonCamerasReview team

This is quite a tricky post because there are numerous Canon camera parts but there are only a certain number which are either accessible or within the reach of an amateur photographer to fit themselves.

The main Canon camera parts a novice would come across are such things as additional canon lenses, straps, batteries, canon video cables, mains adaptors, extended viewfinders, in car battery chargers,Canon external flash unit or remote switch.

Word Of Warning – If you are thinking about doing some work on your camera yourself or even buying an addition such as a charger, I would always recommend that as far as possible you try to stick to genuine Canon camera parts because there is quite a lot of inferior Canon camera parts or should I say FAKE canon camera parts and accessories coming in from China.

Canon Camera Parts – First Bit Of Advice

Unless you are completely happy in the knowledge you have DO NOT try any work on the camera which involves going into the INSIDE of the camera. You could turn a £50 job into a £250 repair. To repair the inside of a Canon camera you need to be fully conversant with how everything inside works. Firstly you cannot order Canon spare parts if you do not first know how to diagnose which part is faulty. The second point is that for certain jobs you would need specific tools.

There are many sites online who as well as selling Canon camera parts would be happy to actually quote you to do the repairs. We are based in the UK but no matter where you are in the world, because Canon is such a well known and trusted brand you will be able to buy Canon camera parts online in your country. Leave the inside workings to the professionals.

Over the years I have bought many items for my Canon cameras and I have always searched around the various companies that sell Canon camera parts but many times the company which came up trumps was Amazon so I have just included a few links to some Amazon products. They may not be the exact parts you want but once you get on the Amazon site you can type in the exact part you want and by clicking on the links below it will take you to the right section

Canon Camera Parts – Chargers

Canon Camera Repair

If your latest-technology Canon digital or digital SLR camera gets broken, the first thing I would advise you to do is to contact Canon as they are the experts on Canon camera repair and take the camera to their nearest branch. If for example you need a Canon camera repair done in the uk, simply send your camera to Canon UK. Their phone numbers and contact details for their repair services can normally be found on Canon websites.

NO PROBLEM – If you live in a far-flung country with no known nearby Canon offices, you can courier your camera to a repair centre. You will have to give them your card information so they can charge you . Another option would be send it direct to the importing company but we advise against that normally.

If you’re into Old Canon cameras and you have a 35mm camera and wouldn’t mind spending £200-300 for Canon camera repair services, send the camera back to Canon.

The NUMBER ONE camera repair issue is: Broken LCD screens.

You buy that brand new Canon digital camera with all the bells and whistles for £400, and guess what; in 6 months to 1 year it’s worth about half, and then the unthinkable happens: you drop it. Canon camera repair to the rescue.

The LCD is cracked and requires a Canon camera repair, is a very common phrase we hear or a popular one is everything is getting jammed.

You head back to the Canon camera repair shop with your broken camera and the guy behind the counter (that knows nothing about cameras except for what’s written on the box, and even less about any Canon camera repair) says it’s not worth fixing it and the best thing to do is to throw it. If you get this scenarion; DONT THROW IT. There are ALWAYS alternatives for every problem. It may however cost £250 to fix your Canon digital camera, check.

It was hard to choose Number 1, between a jammed lens and a broken LCD screen as both are items we often receive complaints about. but I stuck with LCD as number one because it’s so easy to break your LCD.

Canon Camera Repair – Protecting Your LCD Screen

The LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is the view screen at the rear of the camera that lets you see menus and playback. The LCD is very thin, extremely fragile, and on many modern cameras completely unprotected. Take a look at the back of your camera and see if the screen is slightly recessed or is it flat and smooth? If you find it’s flat you have a protective ‘window’ or ‘glass’ over the LCD which prevents damage. If it’s not flat, you have nothing whatsoever protecting your LCD and its therefore a good idea to get a good quality LCD screen protector.

Don’t leave your camera in your vehicle in summer or winter. Extreme heat can cause expansion of the liquid in the LCD and cause it to ‘crack’, and also extreme cold can cause the liquid to freeze! Yet another useful tip from the Canon camera repair team.

Don’t rest anything against the LCD in your camera bag, it will bang against it and crack it ( even if it has a window over it) another job for the Canon camera repair team

Don’t forget your camera is in your back pocket and sit on it
Don’t put your camera in your front pocket as you may roll over on it.

Basically – Dont put the camera in your pockets at all

Canon Camera Repair – It’s broken, what do you do now?

If you approach the manufacturer for a Canon camera repair, they will often try to say that it was impact damage and will refuse to do a Canon camera repair, even if it wasn’t dropped, You can try, and I wish you luck,

Try looking for a defective camera on Ebay – ( often a previous Canon camera repair job.) Then try to make one good camera from the two. You will need a bit of Canon camera repair knowledge however.

There are quite a few Canon camera repair businesses online, check them out. Be careful, you do not want somebody that will send it to the manufacturer and tell you it’s £200 and up to 6 weeks to repair. (If they tell you this, they are NOT repairing the camera for you, they are sending it to the manufacturer. What a con.

Canon camera repair -Replacing an LCD screen

Some LCD screens are easy to install and you can do it yourself, you just need a small screwdriver. Other LCD’s can be very difficult to install, and even the professionals regularly involved with Canon camera repair jobs, don’t like doing them. The decision is yours really. How is an LCD replaced?

Here is some good news. With most Canon digital camera LCD screens all you do is disconnect the ribbon cable for the LCD and the backlight (the light that shines through the LCD and allows you to see what is on the screen) and then install the new LCD screen. Some of them come with the backlight attached, others do not. Some of the backlights need to be soldered to the mainboard of the camera, others do not. Canon make Canon camera repair for the non professional easier than many other makes.

Do not touch the flash capacitor contacts! You WILL give yourself a shock if you do, which may be a bit painful. You will probably throw your camera across the room when it happens. Professionals use a thing called a ‘flash capacitor discharger’

Canon Camera Repair – Final Thoughts

I hope this article has been of some help. Dont throw a good canon camera away, there is a good chance you can repair it yourself. Who knows, you may become a Canon camera repair expert. If you dont fancy it there are many reputable firms online offering repairs at the right price.

You may be wondering why we would suggest buying Refurbished Canon Cameras. Well there are many reasons but here are the three main ones.

Refurbished Canon Cameras – Camera Price

Canon make excellent quality digital cameras, which is why if you buy them new, they can sometimes be a little expensive. If however you want to save yourself money, then refurbished Canon cameras are perfect for you. You will find that there is a noticeable difference in price between buying a new Canon Camera and buying refurbished Canon cameras.

Refurbished Canon Cameras – Warranty

Many people are of the opinion that refurbished Canon cameras do not come with any form of warranty. This is not however correct because most of the refurbished Canon cameras come with a 90 day warranty. The Canon’s warranty states that any Canon camera that you are buying is free from defects in both materials and workmanship. All new Canon cameras come with a one year warranty, but obviously you are not going to get the same warranty on a refurbished Canon camera.

Refurbished Canon Cameras – Your Assurance Of Quality

The quality and build of all Canon cameras is excellent as they go through vigorous quality testing at all stages of development. Because of this most new Canon cameras will only need to be checked once before it is put on sale. This is where the difference can be found as refurbished Canon cameras are checked multiple times to ensure that everything about the camera and all of its features are working properly.

Your decision to buy a Canon camera is a good one, you are getting top quality from a known brand. However, if you are looking for something a little better than a standard beginners digital camera, you could be looking at a larger investment of money. So instead of buying a new Canon camera, some of the best buys can be found with refurbished Canon cameras – what you are buying are refurbished Canon cameras that has been used but have now been fully refurbished to be like new. This is the perfect alternative, if you are unable to find the full retail price for a new one. With refurbished Canon cameras you will get a top quality Canon camera for much less.

Refurbished Canon cameras are usually ones that have been sent back to the manufacturer to get an exchange. This can be for a variety of reasons. Maybe the camera at some stage failed to work properly, or maybe it was simplyreturned because the customer wanted something different. However, refurbished Canon digital cameras are completely rebuilt and you really cannot tell that they have been used at all. People who have bought refurbished Canon cameras will verify that they do everything a brand new model would do, but costs in most cases, costs less than half the price of a new one. A fantastic deal

There are various ways to find refurbished canon cameras. Firstly you can go and search the Canon website directly or alternativelly give then a call.

Canon do not make a point of advertising that they occasionally have refurbished Canon cameras for sale, and they are only available on special request. Very few people know that they can purchase refurbished Canon cameras, so they always go for brand new ones. Speak to Canon and ask them about their refurbished models and save yourself some money.

You will find hundreds of sites advertising refurbished Canon cameras.

Just have a look at their offers and I think you will be very surprised. I would always recommend people to firstly try these specialised camera sites first as the people there know what they are talking about

People may be apprehensive about buying refurbished Canon cameras because they wrongly believe that such cameras may not last as long, or they may be defective.

However, this is wrong because the people who sell refurbished Canon cameras ensure they are inspected thoroughly, actually more than a new one. There are some great bargains around.

Obviously you could try Internet auction sites, such as eBay but I do not advise this as these people could have just picked up the camera at a garage or boot sale. They would not have inspected it properly and would not be able to give you any advice if it went wrong. They would also not normally be prepared to give you any warranty.

THEREFORE – my final advice for anyone thinking of buying refurbished canon cameras is firstly try the excellent specialised camera shops advertising on the internet or try Canon direct.

All the best from the CanonCamerasReview team

Canon Camera Drivers – What Are They?

Canon is known for innovative camera products for business, industry, and the average consumer. These camera products rely on Canon camera drivers to make them operate. Your new Canon camera will come with the necessary Canon camera drivers to run the product and be able to link it with your computer. But, what options do you have if your Canon camera drivers are out of date, or if you mislay your disk and need to reinstall the hardware? Here are a list of your options.

Most Canon products have a setting to enable you to automatically locate any Canon camera drivers updates. Your drivers must remain up to date or the product will not work properly. You can set this up when you install your cameras hardware or alternativelly go to settings in the product’s properties menu later and amend this option. You should also be able to find a link to check for Canon camera drivers updates, you will often find that these are located under file, then properties, then downloads. Check your user manual for your particular camera for more information if you are unable to trace this information on your own.

Canon Camera Drivers – Where Do I Get Them

If you are looking for information on Canon camera drivers there are many excellent sites on the web where you download Canon camera drivers or alternativelly you could of course visit Canons own website; it is packed full of useful information to meet all your hardware and software needs.

Start off by putting in your location. Once you have chosen that option you can pick a more specific location and view information on Canon camera drivers specifically available in your area.

Once you have chosen your location; you can view products, services, downloads, and even more information specifically tailored to your region. You can shop for new products, read product specifications, or look up information on products that you already own.

Most sites on the internet where you are able to download Canon camera drivers will do a short survey to ensure you get the right drivers for your camera. As well as Canon camera drivers several sites have other software you can download which may have come with the camera but you have lost. Such things as photo editing software that is typically included with Canon digital cameras

Sometimes you may have a product that is out of date. Canon products tend to last a long time as the quality is so good and you may find that the drivers for your particular camera are discontinued and no longer available. There are however ways to find the drivers you require online.

There are many excellent sources for Canon camera drivers online, especially for hard to find or discontinued product driver downloads.

Another option is entering your model number and driver download in the search field at Google.

Canon Camera Drivers – Final Thoughts

Be careful when buying Canon camera drivers as some will only work with PCs and not Mac computers.

Providing you keep your Canon camera drivers up to date by occasionally checking online to ensure you have the latest drivers, you camera will give you years of pleasure and service.

All the best from the Canon Camera Review team

I have always wanted to start a Canon Camera Review site as ever since I was capable of taking photographs I have always used Canon Equipment. Originally normal cameras with film But as with most people; I have now changed to Canon digital cameras.

The first canon digital camera I owned was a Canon Powershot A720 IS digital camera but have also just purchased an Eos 40d digital SLR camera from Canon.

I cannot speak highly enough of Canon equipment which is why my site is a Canon camera review site and not some other make. Canon equipment is reliable and the picture quality is normally first class. I suddenly realised that I could be of great help to anyone wishing to buy a Canon digital or SLR camera if I did a review of as many of the modern Canon digital cameras and Canon digital SLR cameras. Once I made the decision however to build a Canon camera review site I suddenly found myself deciding to do a review of Canon digital video cameras as well.

Suddenly though I realised that I had a small problem with my idea in how was I going to be able to get hold of the cameras to check them over for my Canon Camera Review site. I then approached the shop where I have bought all but one of my Canon cameras and asked them if it would be possible to borrow various cameras just for a few days so that I could write a canon camera review of that product. They were at first a bit hesitant but eventually agreed. I think they were worried that I may badly criticise a particular Canon camera in a Canon camera review which could reflect in sales.

I honestly do not believe that I will have too many bad things to say about Canon digital or SLR cameras if my past experience is anything to go by. having said that I feel that a Canon camera review site has to be completely unbiased.

The one thing you can be assured of though is that I will give a completely unbiased review of all the Canon digital cameras and video recorders. This site is a Canon camera review site NOT and advertisement for Canon, I am in no way connected to Canon and renowned for speaking my mind – so look out Canon if your standards ever drop.

CANON CAMERA REVIEW – SLR or COMPACT DIGITAL

Canons latest lines of Eos digital cameras are taking the market by storm. The one I have, the Canon Eos 40D is getting rave reviews all over the internet.

Canon is no different to other manufacturers as to the fact that Canon digital SLR cameras are like all other quality SLR cameras; quite expensive. Having said that I would say that you get what you pay for. When you are shopping for SLR cameras though, whether it be a Canon SLR camera or some other make, just remember that very often all you are buying is the camera and you would then need to buy a lens afterwards. Hopefully the fact that you have come to this Canon camera review site will help you to realise that what can sometimes appear to be the bargain of the century may not turn out to be so good when you realise that you have to spend another £400 for a lens maybe.

The two main type of Canon Digital Compact cameras you will read about on this Canon camera review site are the Canon Digital Ixus group of cameras and the Canon Powershot group. on this site I will review as many as I can.

Canon Camera Review goes EOS. If we move up a group to the fantastic Canon Eos Digital SLR cameras then this is a different phase in photography which will allow every budding photographer to become a star in their own right. I have checked them out for you.

By combining fast auto-focus SLR cameras with world-class EF lenses, the EOS system takes you to photographic heaven. The latest EOS cameras have up to 45 auto-focus (AF) points and shoot 10 frames per second so that you may capture that moment decisively; some models also include eye-control focus.
